I recently got a Staccato, and I'd like to know if the nib is steel or 18K gold. The nib itself, although I don't have photos, is two-toned. The inside surface is gold and the outside surface is silver. It says IRIDIUM on it. Gold or steel?

Steel

Thanks for the quick reply! Is there any way of telling if a nib is gold or steel? Such as my Danitrio Tac Carry II ($33 pen) has a gold-colored nib marked IRIDIUM too. Is this gold or steel?

the "IPG" (iridium point germany) are steel

most gold nibs are marked with the carat
