Help! I dropped headsmack.gif an uncapped Pelikan M200 with Richard Binder's ItaliFine nib, and somehow it landed such that it jammed the nib back up into what passes for the section so that the nib now extends only 1/8" (or so) beyond the end of the feed. Surprisingly, little (if any) damage seems to have been done to the nib, as it still writes smoothly, although it is quite a bit wetter than before.

How can I get the nib back into the correct position without damaging either the nib or the feed? Any advice is appreciated!

Can you unthread the nib?

If so you will just need to knock the nib and feed out and reseat them in the collar.

OK, how do I knock the feed and nib out of the collar? I'm a little paranoid about doing more damage (although I guess this would be a good learning experience).

Never mind, I figured it out. I threaded the nib collar back into the body and then was able to slowly (and very gently) pull the nib and feed out. I checked for obvious damage (none), then reseated the feed and nib back into the collar, checking nib placement and insertion depth against a stock Pelikan nib. All seems to be well again.

Thanks for the help!
