Dear Members of The Fountain Pen Network;

I was referred to look into the Ackerman Pump Pens, to which I was aimed toward the Gillot303 and Principle Nibs.

My eye caught the MangaG model for Spencerian and artistic writing.

My questions are:

Has anybody purchased the Ackerman Pump Pen products, such as the MangaG, Gillot303 and or Principle?

I haven't quite figured out how you refill the pump as well. However, it looks like a better financial solution than buying a $600.00 pen with $120.00 of nib grinding and flex nib adjustments.

Observations and comments are appreciated.

Respectfully,
Maria

Dear Memos Random,

If I get the MangaG, I will let you know smile.gif

At the prices, they are all a bargain. I have several "Michael Roundhand" nibs, which range from 1 to 6, that are semiflex nibs. Might be worth looking into for me as well.

My credit cards will scream 'ouch' again lticaptd.gif LOL

Respectfully,
Maria

I've got a Manga-G ordered too. I've been using a Ackerman brush-pen for years now and it's a very important pen in my art kit. I keep it filled with a gray wash of Noodler's Lexington Gray at about 1/3 strength. I enjoy drawing with my fountain pens but sometimes I need to use India type ink, so the Manga-G/Ackerman sounds like just the ticket.

I'll report back also.
