Has anyone heard of or know about LeBoeuf Pens? A lady I work with has a few pens that where her fathers and one of them is this gold LeBoeuf. It's a beautiful gold and brownish pen. I will post pictures tonight. It's labeled Springfield MASS 8 on the nib. If anyone has any info on these pens I would love to learn about them. Thanks smile.gif

They're a high quality pen from a maker that wasn't in business for too long. The are very collectible today and a #8-sized pen, depending on condition, could be worth somewhere in the $500-800 range. After you get some photos you might try asking about it over on Lion & Pen (www.lionandpen.com). There's a message board there, similar to this one, but those folks are really into the history aspect of this hobby. You'll probably find out more than you ever wanted to know about LeBoeuf.

LeBoeuf were incorporated in Springfiled, Mass in 1921 and went out of business in 1933. The tried to resurect in 1995 or there abouts.
They made high quality pens out of tubular material instead of drilled out rods. They even incorporated steel liners to make them "unbreakable".
Due to there short time in business there are not that many pens around and they tend to fetch very high prices. $500+ is normal.

Thanks guys for the info. The pen I have needs a new rubber sac. I'm not sure if that's an easy fix on this pen. I know I have no idea how to fix it. Who would you guys suggest I contact for this issue? I also aquired a Parker Vacumatic that needs a new diaphragm. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks again!!

If you are in the U.S., I would recommend Richard Binder for anything that you ever need repaired. Richard's the best.
