Full Version: Do i need receipt for pelikan nib exchange? in UK

Hi all, from UK,

i have been given a gift, Pelikan M800 Fountain pen with Medium nib, but F nib is what I really want, i have checked the UK offical after sale here : http://www.stonemarketing.com/pen-repair.html

"PLEASE NOTE that within 28 days of your fountain pen purchase, you will not be charged for nib exchanges should you require one, BUT you will need to produce a receipt. If your receipt is outside of the 28 days, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE NIB."


it seems that according to the regulation, they require a receipt to demonstrate it is within 28 days of purchase, but the thing is the pen is a gift and there is no receipt comes with the pen, but the warranty leaflet is in the box.


I am wondering, if I can still enjoy the warranty and change the medium nib to Fine nib?

Hi,
I'm not sure on the technicalities, but I would contact Stone about swapping the nib across, who might well work something out if they see it's a brand new un-inked nib. They're currently sorting out a cracked M400 cap for me, and I didn't need my receipt for that.

Stone marketing are pretty good, they sorted out a Sheaffer Balance II with a cracked cap for me and I couldn't find the receipt (they couldn't repair so sent me a new one in a different colour and returned the original).

I had to pay just under £5 for return postage as I didn't have the receipt which would have been waived if I had it, but a bargain all round as I got another pen out of it. Get in touch I am sure my experience wasn't a one off.

i have tried stone marketing, just like what you described, stone marketing is really really nice, i have got my pen nib exchanged and it cost me only 3 days!

i am so glad that pelikan have such a wonderful after sale service! i'd like to say it probably the best one among the other brands.
