I have a nearly-new Aurora Optima (M) that has a bad habit of just stopping in the middle of a page. I sent it to Pat Formato at Kenro, who replaced the nib. I just got it back and it's still doing exactly the same thing.

Anyone had this problem? Advice? Shared tears? crybaby.gif

That's a vexing problem. I have had it with a Mont Blanc; I have had it with a no-name fountain pen; and I have it now with an Omas Bologna, although the cause of that is known and different than the other two pens. I have also had several Aurorae, and none of them had the problem. So I think you'd be best to go back to Kenro if the pen is still under warranty, or else call John Mottishaw (www.nibs.com), who sells Aurora, to see if he has any ideas.

I had an Optima that did the same thing - that was one of those pens that you want desperately to love, and can't. I had mine fixed by someone who knows more than I do after the usual tweaks failed to do much for it.

Who fixed it, what did they do, and did the problem ever recur?
