Some pen passed through the Ukrainian national clone of 'Bay recently:

From top right to bottom left: the pen, it's cap and matching mechanical pencil.

The only additional photo that I managed to get from the pen owner.

This set is claimed to be the belonging of some German soldier but I doubt in that as:

  • what is said to be the owner name "ВОВ MEIER VOLKER" engraved on the barrel seems not German to me;
  • as well as such words like "warrant…" on nib plus wording "King pen" which is said to be somewhere on the barrel/cap/clip.

To my regret no more pictures are available for the moment.

Is there any suggestions?

Perhaps an Italian? There was a vintage brand called The King. I would have assumed more color in their models, though they could have done some plain black stuff.

Best of luck!

The nib is a common British imprint - but it may have been a replacement made somewhere along the lines.

The Washer clip also seems very UK - I think I have a very similar pen at home. Is it a button filler, or a piston filler?

Thanks for wishes and would you please provide any more details on that "The King" brand (I'm interested in Italian brands anyhow and never heard about this one yet)?
As to this particular pen it seems logical if it's Italian made as Italian troops were on territory of Ukraine as well plus Germans could easily have Italian things.

No more details are available for the moment. The current owner who claimed that he filled pen stopped (postponed?) further mailing with me.

It badly could happen that "it may have been a replacement made somewhere along the lines" as (vintage) British-made nibs are believed to be not available in Ukraine and around.

I don't know about the 'Bob', but Volker Meier sounds pretty German to me.......

Thanks, I appeciate. I'm pleased to get to know about S.A.F.I.S. and it brands.

As to this case only some details fit - like word "King" and flat top models of some "The King" branded pen models.
