I was at Chartwell last weekend, the house of Sir Winston Churchill. Amongst many fascinating exhibits was a display featuring bottles of Waterman red and green inks and the largest bottle, still about one third full, of Swann red ink. It must have been around a litre or so in size.
Actually, most of the handwritten documents were in black.
Also, I saw that a bottle of Penman Sapphire sold for nearly £20 on 'tbay. Phew.
