When you work in an isolated environment without contact with any pen shops or FP users it gets difficult to assess what is needed to improve the nib performance & to gauge what can be achieved.

So I would like to thank everyone who offers their advice so freely ~ with special thanks with reference to John Mottishaw for the link here

Although I've followed his guidance on nib adjusting I was perhaps too timid & always had limited results with only slight improvement. Recently I had some paper & a short paragraph showing me what wetness could be achieved .. all this demonstrated to me that most of my nibs were fairly dry writing.

Today I took time to work on a few nibs in various pens & the improvements were far more dramatic. I wouldn't say they are perfect yet but the improvement is huge

Maybe worth noting that I tried my hand on cheaper pens to start with ... my biggest improvement was with a Reform Italic which was a disappointing performer in the dry class of pens .. its now starting to challenge my wettest writer.

So a Big Thank You One & All ... your advice is welcome & much appreciated
