What is the best way to clean the nibs of old ink.?

If you have knocked the feed and nib out, then scrubbing with a soft brush may do. Ink dries repeatedly on the underside of nibs, and it gets caked up. If that is the case with the nib you have, or you still have the nib and feed in the section, make a solution of 1 part ammonia to 9 parts plain water, cover the nib with the solution, and let stand at least overnight. Rinse and repeat.

The best way is to use an ultrasonic cleaner... if it is really clogged use a 10% ammonia solution..
I do not knock out a nib and feed unless I absolutely have to.... especially on older pens....
