Closing tomorrow morning. Should go for over two grand. Wish I had the bucks...errr...Yen!

I've been watching that one and it seems to be the second time around for the pen. It was up a few weeks ago and closed without a bid. Does the highlighted 300,000 indicate a reserve? I haven't seen that on any of the other auctions.

Wish I had the $ too.

Back in the 90's I owned a set of 3 of the Platinum 70th Anniversary Arabesque Filigree FP's, one being Sterling Silver, the next being 18K (solid) Gold and the 3rd (shipped to me as Sterling!) was fashioned out of platinum. Even the folks at Platinum (in the 90's) knew very little about the 3rd pen. It was marked #30 & the story I got that there was a total of 30 produced & were only given to dignitaries...I was just a friendly pen seller, hmmmmm, maybe I was important in another life?

Anyway, somebody made me an offer I couldn't refuse on the set, so it's long gone, but I still have the full-color store signs (which will be going up for sale, 70th Anniversary pens, Maki-e and Re Celluloid series...very cool sign!). I'll see about photographing them today sometime & posting the pics!

PS--The one on eBay pales in comparison to the filigree version!
