Full Version: Rhapsody, Patrician, which pen next?

I used to think pens were for recording words till I discovered Waterman; now I know they're for writing....

What direction to go? I've just got myself a green Rhapsody and a green Patrician (yes, I like green but other colours are nice too). Both are fountain pens. I'm going to allow myself one, just maybe two more W FPs of say post- rather than pre-1980 age. Which ones would be the logical choice to complement these two? And not the same models in a different colour. They don't have to be so high-end, but could be.

Any thoughts?

Do you have a Waterman Expert yet? Those are really nice, too.

I second that - Experts are fantastic. I haven't yet put my ducats together for a Carene, but soon. Of course, it you have lots of money, an Edson would be the holy grail for me and some others here, although other individuals would choose the Le Man or the Opera as their holy grail pen. Really - I'm not picky. If someone gave me an Opera, I wouldn't turn it down. rolleyes.gif

Interesting... I looked at the pens you all recommended... but none of them really grabbed me. embarrassed_smile.gif But thanks for your suggestions: it brought up Satrap's favourite seller and led me to loads of other things on the net. thumbup.gif

After looking at lots of pens I reckon the LM100 series are hard to beat on looks. cloud9.gif I like that shape, similar to the Duofolds. cloud9.gif Were they American made or after the move to France? happyberet.gif I'm happy with the weight as I find all but the most petite pens unbalanced posted and so hardly ever write with any pen posted.

Liked the blue and gold shade of the Edson thumbup.gif , but not so keen on the style of the cap and clip. unsure.gif Maybe if I see one for real it will grab me differently.

Anyone point me in the direction of some really nice photos of the no.52 pen? On this site the search won't get them because it's under 4 characters.

Any more suggestions very welcome.
