Full Version: Pen Box Filling Up

After nearly two years of wandering around in my pursuit of pen nirvana I'm getting close roflmho.gif .....for now at least. The mantra is large ink capacity and larger in the hand pens that WRITE, beauty is second, but there are exceptions.

My first love "51"'s meet all the criteria except large in the hand but i don't care. After all I make the rules.

M800's will always be my favorite and I can't wait to show you the "custom" M800's that I hope to have in the box next month....along with custom nibs from Richard then too.

M200 is there cause its red...gotta have a pen for red ink.

Sailor 1911 meets all the criteria except for big ink capacity....but so what...the nib's to die for.

MB 149 comes back from Richard's nib tweak early next month.

The sterling silver Optima is new and really a joy to use. 2nd nib arrives soon and will be off to Richard for customizing....just not sure what yet.

Stipula Erturia...boy I can't wait...should be here Friday, along with a 2nd nib that will be off to Richard with the 2nd Optima nib.

Omas Paragon should be here from Germany tomorrow! Old style black with sterling cap.

And that last slot???? Only pens left on the wish list are a Custom 823 and a Conway Stewart Churchill. But then someone has to leave.....

Thanks for looking and everyone's help in finding my way.

Nice smile.gif I have two similar boxes, each a bit monotonous. One is missing 2 pens (one already on its way from Asia) and the other missing 2 FPs and one MP. So these are the two "proper" collections, and the rest of my pens just pile up everywhere around wink.gif

That is a nice collection. I could go for every one of those.

Indeed, a fantastic collection. But, what did you use for the labeling?

David - Thanks. After being distracted initially by lots of interesting pens I decided that WRITING is what's most important to me. And once I learned more about my writing style I decided to focus on pens that I would actually use....all of them....regularly...perhaps choosing a pen for a particular style of writing or particular occassion. Its also why each pen was chosen for its nib...some quite fine for detail work with numbers....or an OBB for addressing envelopes....or my personal favorites, obliques in sort of a fine/medium for general writing and note taking. That's why I LOVE the pens with easily changed nibs....one pen but actually two based simply on which nib was in it. My promise to myself was never to own more pens than would fill the box and I think once this group is complete it will be rare to find a pen that I want badly enough to replace one that already exists....but I didn't say anything about more nibs, did I. smile.gif.

Greg, I use a Brother Ptouch for file labeling. They have, as you may know, different cartridges that drop in...different colors and different widths. My Ptouch hooks by USB to the computer and has a simple, easy to use program for defining the length of the label, font, pitch, etc.

Thanks for looking.
