Full Version: Why is Noodler's Baystate colors higher pH?

Just curious as to why these Noodler's colors have a higher pH??? And will they hurt the bladders on older pens?? I have two Schaeffers from the 1940s that I'd like to use with the Concord Grape but afraid this higher pH might hurt. Ideas would be helpful.

AIR, (had to go check my Clark), old Ft. Madison Skrip Jet Black was 9.1.

Further I believe Nathan discussed this issue somewhere on this Forum. I think it had to do with the dye he was using to get the propper effect. If someone else doesn't give a pointer maybe you can Search function it out.
