Has anyone had communications with Nibs.com? I have been waiting for a reply for a few weeks now.

According to their website, they were on vacation until this week (if I recall correctly-- maybe they came back last week).

Although somebody else here in the last couple of days said they just received a pen from them. Maybe they are working to clear up the backlog of orders and emails and "stuff" that piled up while they were gone.

My mistake. They are on vacation *now* and will be back after Labor Day. Their Web site says, "Everyone will be taking the last two weeks of August for vacation, so we suggest you send packages to arrive before or after that time. "

They are usually VERY fast with me. Certainly it's the vacation.

Every one is gone until Sept. 2. I think John took the whole month of August off whilst the rest of thenm took the last two weeks of August.

I'd call them! I had mostly fast and some slow email correspondence with them.

The staff was answering phones this week, and I placed orders.

John is due back on Monday.

Ive always contacted them by phone. This is an amazing place to get pens, especially a Nakaya without the 1-3 month wait.

I prefer email and they haven't answered mine. Does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling about the company.

I've been waiting on a response from them as well but no luck either. I don't intend on making an international phone call to them during what is the middle of the night/early morning for me.

I've been waiting on several email responses for perhaps a fortnight or more from about 3 different places that most people say respond very quickly. I don't know what to think.

Give them another chance. They are among the very best in the pen business. You won't regret buying a pen from them.

I have two Nakayas: One from Nakaya directly, and one from NIBS.COM.

Both were great to deal with.

I agree with the earlier comments. It is most likely that they were out on vacation as their web site stated. You might want to try and just give them a call with the concerns about the poor communications to give them a chance to offer an explanation.

They are very busy, but that is still not an excuse for not responding.

I do know that once I placed my order, I was told that it would be a little over 3 months, and during that time, I really didn't get anything back from them unless I initiated the email.

Sad to say, I've been waiting on a response from Nakaya for 3 weeks now and in the period of time, I've sent perhaps 5 emails and received only one response 3 weeks ago. In my books, they're worse in the correspondence department.

Of course, it could just be that I have extraordinarily bad luck. sad.gif

I've bought two excellent pens from them on separate occasions, and the service for both was good, but it took calling them to get things going. They did not respond to the initial e-mail I sent them. I felt very discouraged at first and was on the verge of taking my business elsewhere, but decided to give them a call, and was glad I did. It was very disappointing that they didn't respond to my e-mail but they redeemed themselves by providing a great product and subsequent service.
