I was fooling around with the camera tonight. Thoughts?

Ryan,
Nice shots with interesting lighting. I always like really short depth of field, closeup macro shots. The nib detail is great, especially with a bit of nib creep showing proudly. Great work!
Cheers,
Tom

Well, they always did call me a nib creep...

(Ba dum bum ching!)
Thanks Tom. I'm messing around with a set of diopters and it's kind of fun. Once I get the hang of it, it'll be lots of fun. Lighting was provided by a little desk lamp, and was VERY yellowish. Lent itself well to gold trim, but didn't help much with anything silver-toned (i.e., the Thompson that you just finished).

Nice differential focussing.

Thanks Caliken. The lens I used for that shot is a Minolta prime lens. 50/F1.4. The lens did the work; I just clicked the button!

My first though was: this is my pen!! Is it a Stipula Novecento Cromo Black Ebonite L.E.? But my nib is a 14Kt rhodiated! Why your is a 18kt bicolour?
Nice pics, and I think you are trying to reach the perfect focus in macrofocusing, as I tryed too.

Thanks Nemo. You know, I actually had the very same thoughts that you did regarding the nib. I'm not sure why mine is 18K two-tone. Mine isn't the LE, though I doubt that explains it. Perhaps it's a Friday afternoon special? Someone at Stipula who'd had a couple of chiantis too many over lunch decided to give this one a little something special? Who knows?

McKinney, if you're reading this, I think you've got one of these too. Is your nib an 18K?

Maybe the Stipula Novecento Standard have a 18Kt while the Cromo Ebonite L.E. has the 14Kt. Just to give not too much to the L.E.. Anyway, I chose a 1.1 italic nib. You can see it in my album (click on the signature below).

Already been there, my friend. Your collection is impressive and I've enjoyed watching it grow!

Thank you! And consider it is not my whole collection... I had not so much time this summer to shoot pics to the other pens of my collection. And by now I really don't know when I will do. But maybe next week I will just shoot just one or two photo for each pen so I can update my site including all the pens. My collection counts now over 65 pens, two Visconti Travelling Inkwells, one green marble wax stamp, three luxury silver dip pens, a lot of inks also in sealed vintage bottles, three showcases solid wood with trays, four ecoleather holders. Some of them are gift, other are from parents legacy and other from excellent online and dealers' shops purchases.
Edited to add: wow, your site is so cool!! I posted a comment about the Herald.
I wrote some reviews in italian and I will post here and in my site too, after translation. I hope to shoot good pics as yours.
