I would like to thank Andy for getting me started on collecting Esterbrooks. He answered my questions and led me on my search, tonight I bought my first two Esterbrooks.
Thanks Andy for being so helpful...

You are more than welcome but beware, Esties are addictive. Someday you may think of me as the "pusher" that got you started on the Estie "habit."

I saced another Estie tonight, a copper J with a missing bottom jewel. I also resaced an Arnold miniature fp/pencil combo. I'll try both tomorrow but if the Arnold works then I'll have to figure out where to learn how to restore the pencil part.

That would be the only kind of "pusher" I would want! Thanks again Andy.
What is the cost involved in putting a new bladder in, and where do you get the bladders? OAlso where do you find nibs for them besides Ebay? Any one selling them online?
amh210
You can get bladders from Tryphon and the Pen Sac company. They run about $2.00 each and Esties use size 16. You will also need shellac or nail polish, a utility knife, long-noze tweezers (to pull out the old sacs if they are stuck), and, since you are a musician, you are probably dextrous enough to not need a sac stretcher thingie.

Richard Binder's website has good directions how to do it step by step.

As for nibs....
Put a WTB on the Market Forum of FPN and I'm sure you will get some offers. I'm pretty sure some of the FPN Esterbrook Forum folk could give you some good leads as well.

I do have some Estie nibs I'm not using, so if you know what numbers you want and I have them to spare I can sell them to you. If you only want one, and I have it, (or if you don't care what kind it is) I'll be glad to send it to you gratis. After all, I'm still in debt to you for sharing the Rotrings.

Andy, you owe me nothing... those Rotrings were gifts. I don't know anything about the nibs yet, just wondering where to get them... what are good numbers to look for.... fine or medium.... I love this learning stuff! LOL
