Full Version: What kind of blue is my Namiki ink?

Hi all, is there any way to tell from the Namiki bottle what color ink I have? The cap is a bright blue color but the ink writes like a blue-black with my safari. This ink bottle shipped with my brother's Namiki Urushi pen, and did not have a cardboard case/cover of its own.

Thanks
Immoteus
I think you have a bottle of Namiki Blue. Would you be able to post a scan?

Note: Standard Namiki bottled ink only comes in Black and Blue. There is the Iroshizuku Series but the bottle looks completely different.

Pilot makes a bottled BlueBlack but doesn't distribute it to the US (bstrds).

Yes. Namiki-Pilot Blue, not mixed with anything else, is not as dark as you describe. On the other hand, it is a friendly mixer with many (not all) other brands of fountain pen ink.
