Full Version: Is Diamine Florida Blue a genuinely limited edition?

Just bought my first bottle of Diamine Florida Blue, which is a gorgeous, vivid blue. Inside the box of ink was a small card that reads...

Diamine Worldwide Limited Edition
Series 2
Florida Blue Fountain Pen Ink
No 195 of 1000 produced

The "195" is handwritten.

Is this meant to imply that after 1000 are produced, the ink will be unavailable? Or is this just a ruse?

Thanks in advance...

The Diamine is more of a pure sky blue, without the purple shades inherent in Waterman Florida Blue. It is not, however, a saturated color. In my Pelican M200, it appears a bit watery at times. But that's a trade-off you may be willing to accept to get the nice shading it offers.

It's kinda similar to Diamine Tropical/PR Tropical. Bright light turq
