Hiya,
Visited this forum quite often but always as a lurker. My new interest in the Namiki VP - trying to buy one - has got me registering. A couple of years ago I bought a Lamy 2000 after reading the wonderful reviews on this forum. Looking forward to contributing where I can.
Thank you all and good evening.
Cheerio,
Lillian

Greetings and welcome from New York City. I just got the new LE Purple VP. These pens are great! Have you seen the Raden VP? That is one pretty pen!

Howdy from Chicago. I just joined not to long ago myself and so far it's great. As for Lamy, I would think the Safari line would fit right in in Africa. Take care and welcome aboard.

Thank you Lennart, I wouldn't be surprised if he did. He lived in Sweden for a while when we had a number of murderous governments. Didn't expect to learn that here for sure. ;-)

Hi Lillian,
Welcome to FPN! I am sure you will enjoy. If you travel frequently to Nairobi, I can suggest you a very good pen shop with a passionate owner! Have you ever come to Kigali, Rwanda?
Take care & pursue your hobby!
Abhik.

It is a lovely pen and a joy to use. I bought my first one from the Fountain Pen Hospital. Loved it so much that I ordered a second from Germany - that's a backup. Both have medium nibs.
Ordered a VP (fine nib) this week from Siv. Can hardly wait for it to arrive.

Thank you playpen! I've never seen a VP but have checked out the LE Purple online at the Fountain Pen Hospital. Looks really good! Congratulations on yours. I think I'll enjoy one by proxy ;-)
The Raden VP also looks really good but I haven't seen a phot that shows it off really well. Will be on a look out for one when I next travel to Europe. Aiming to get one?

Howdy! Yeah, I can see why the Safari line would fit in Africa. Maybe if they gave it animal prints - haven't seen any with one ;-) Otherwise solid line. It's a pity Lamy (and others) don't sell their wide ranges in Africa. We only have Parker pens here.
