The first time I have turned an ebonite pen.

Hope you all like.

C/C or eyedropper fill? Considering doing more and selling them? Very nice!

Donnie

Very nice.

I assume that there is no brass in the barrel?

If so, you can apply some silicon grease to the section threads, and make it into an eyedropper.

Beautiful pen Appleman, congratulations !
I think I see some blue stripes on the barrel, Is this a blue/black striped ebonite?
I also like the clip, are these standard clips, and if yes, where can one buy these?
gwilki
Very fine, Chris. How did you cut the threads? They look ultra clean.
Radman
Pretty darn sharp.
I really like what I see...
Great job!

No no brass at all in this one.

Thanks for looking

Will your new ones be in production soon?

Good old tap and die. I get a new one every month or so to keep them nice and sharp.

This is a c/c but as Brian said can be used as a eyedropper with silicone on the threads. May do some up for sale in the future. Making one right now for a customer that will take his Sheaffer Balance section. He loves the nib but hates the plastic body so we will see how that all turns out.

Thanks for the feedback

It is called a blue black but seems to be more green black when you get all finished. The clip came from a kit and right now not to sure which one as I have so many parts hanging around. If I find it I will let you know.

Thanks for looking

Great looking pen thumbup.gif

Is that a custom front section or from a kit? What is the thread size/pitch?

Thanks

Fred

The clip looks very similar to the ones that Berea includes in its Churchill kits, as does the nib and section.

The rest of the visible pieces look to be scratchbuilt.

Nice work, Appleman!

You could be right as I have so many sections and clips etc that I forget which one is which. I just take a section or clip and build the pen around it ans see what comes out.

I love this pen. It looks even nicer in person. The photo really doesn't show the beautiful glossy finish to advantage.
