Nice job!!

Very nice. Is the cap a friction fit?

If so, great job...that's not easy.

Yes the cap is a friction fit. I don't know if I would trust it in my pocket. When i can find out what kind of tap & dye to use I will thread the cap on. The other problem I have is this was all done on a wood lathe by eyeball and HF $1.99 Caliper.

I met Rick when he came into my restaurant for dinner one day. He is a super nice guy. That pen is awesome.

Very nice. Is it a cartridge/converter?

Bravo!

Well done Rick, very nice shape !
Is it an eyedropper or a cartridge/ converter?
Once you got the taste of making the pen completely, things tend to evolve rather fast.
Next time you probably look for making an ink filling system !

Gorgeous! Beautifully done. Whatever you do, don't ever bring something like that to the Dallas Pen Show. If you do, I cannot be held responsible for my actions. rolleyes.gif

Looks really nice. One thing in particular that I like is that it doesn't have the heavy metal section that seems so common on the kit pens!

Do you have a way to do the threading?

Yes it is a cartridge.I also converted my old Wearever to a cartridge. Most likely the wrong thing to do but it writes now.

I only have one tap &dye set so I have to use that nib and feed section. I was trying to avoid any kit parts except the feed.Next move? A metal lathe.

Beautiful work, Rick. What is the material?

Great job
Nice looking pen
richardandtracy
That's stunning. Well done.

As for a tap & die, you are unlikely to get one of the correct fine pitch & large diameter unless you have it specially made for you. The alternative is a metalworking lathe where you can cut your own threads - but that really does open up a whole new set of possibilities.

Regards

Richard.
