When I got a few Reforms in the mail, I filled one with blue and gave it to my sister (EVERYTHING of hers is blue). It made me all happy. Then my other sister, 7 years old, saw them and wanted one, so I gave her a vector. lol it's so much fun, the fact that they're interested, and being able to share what I enjoy with them.
I've also intrigued a few friends but haven't decided what my next give away should be... I'm kinda attached to a lot of my pens, but the nice feeling when you spread the love of fountain pens is definitely worth it.
Do you ever give away pens?

I gave my mother a Waterman Carene and Sailor Mini Sapporo. I gave my father a Parker 100. My brother doesn't want any pens, but he's usually up for a Gordo burrito (24th & Clement, although 9th & Irving is good, too) or a Di Napoli pizza.
Family is good.
I've given friends MontBlancs and Watermans and Sheaffers....
Friends are good, too.
Yay.

Friends are good as well. Gave a Friend a Parker 45 XF( he's an accountant) he absolutely loves it, I followed with a 51 special and he uses it for all official signatures.

I gave a one-time friend of mine a blue pen which I believe was a Sheaffer calligraphy pen. He saw me always writing with a fountain pen at school and wanted to have one, so I promised to get one for him as a birthday present.

I gave my best friend a Waterman Phileas, and to The Professor and Mrs. Professor I gave a pair of Waterman Charlestons. I've given Mum a few pens as well, most recently my first restored (well, cleaned and re-sacced) Esterbrook. I'd give some to my father, but he swears he'll never touch another fountain pen.

I've given a bunch of pens to family and friends, mostly Parker 51s, because they're hard to destroy and such good pens. The most valuable pen I gave was a Namiki maki-e to a girlfriend. In turn my parents brought me some pens from their travels, mostly Watermans from Europe and Pilots from Japan. A few pens from girlfriends, a Waterman Executive and Laureat, a Parker 51. My mother in law gave me her dad's Snorkels. My Uncle gave me my first fp in highschool, a Parker 51. My wife's getting round to fps. After a trial run with a Safari, I'm giving her, you guessed it, a Parker 51.

I recently started keeping a stash of preppies on hand to give out to interested friends and family. My mom obsconded with a few (and has since bought herself a Lamy Al-Star -- I think I've created an addict), I gave one to a student/babysitter of mine, and set aside a few for giveaways during NaNoWriMo.
I recently bought my son his first fountain pen (a no-name Spider-Man pen), and have also ordered him a Pelikano Jr. He hasn't written much with the Spidey pen yet. He tried it out and loved it, now he just carries it around in the box calling it his treasure pen.
Sharing my FP addiction with others is tons of fun.
