I bought a Visconti Romanica few weeks ago and I have a question for people that own this pen or in general own a WHITE body pen.

Do you have a problem that the top part of the section stains from the ink ?

In any case a great work of art and an amazing writer. This pen rocks thumbup.gif .

Sorry to hear that the section on this beautiful pen gets stained. It is for this reason that most of my white/cream pens have black sections.

The only white sectioned pen I have is a Lamy Safari, which gets stained pretty badly almost regardless of what ink I use.

I also have an Esterbrook nurse pen that came to me with some light red staining on the white barrel threads. So trying to get that off will be a fun project soon.

It's a feature, not a bug.

Do you think Amodex and a soft brush would remove that kind of staining? I have no idea if Amodex is safe on celluloid, though. I bet it would wonders on you Lamy Safari, though. I've used it on plastic and it just wipes the stains away!

I personally love things that show use and just wipe more carefully when I load with a wee bit of rinse. Am I the only one that loved the old childhood story "The Velveteen Rabbit" about the stuffed rabbit that was loved until it was so battered that it became a real bunny?
