I took off the end cap to find the 69 for the enigma. When I did, it looked like the 69 was engraved on a small magnetic metal disk. The disk was separated from the pen and the cap. In other words there was the cap with the visonti logo on it, a small metal disk that I assume was magnetic, and then the pen cap itself. I thought this was normal so I put them all back together and forgot about it. The end cap seemed to attach well.

When I got in from the office I noticed that the end cap as well as the small disk was gone. I looked everywhere for it, but it is lost. My question is should the metal disk with the 69 been attached to the pen or the cap, is it normal for these to be separate. Also if I buy another end cap will it come with the little metallic disk. I'd really like to get a replacement with the 69 engraved on it. Is that possible?

Thanks

Maybe my question isn't clear. Is the magnet on the "My Pen system" attached to the pen cap or the visconti logo. Mine isn't, does that mean it was broken?

Second question. If I buy a new one will it come with a magnet?

Thanks

My Visconti Wall Street came with a little round Visconti logo on the top of the cap. I got a dealer to send me my two initals for the cap. Your remove the magnetic visconti logo and end up with a flat spot to put plates on. The initials were set up in a ying/yang shape to make a circular disk. Hope this info helps.

The magnetized part is that small protruding metal band on the top of the cap, and also that protruding part at the end of the pen (end of the filler actually); the magnet is not strong enough to stick to the fridge door tho, so be warned!

The small disks on both ends are not magnetized but removable. I'm not sure, but you might be able to get replacement disk for the DP by contacting the Visconti ppl. They might have spares lying around who knows.

I recall Swisher also sells replacement disks; theirs have cute little animals on them if you so wish. Good luck!

The L.E. Divina Proportione hadn't the magnetic disc like Wall Street or Divina Black.
I suggest you contact Visconti for a repair

This new magnetic system is not available on all types. I have an older Wall Street LE that has the Visconti logo on a small disc, but has no magnetic system. Probably the logo is glued on. if you remove the logo the residual glue will probably stick for a while, but then the disk would be very loose, easy to lose ase you did. You probably need to glue it back on.

I guess Visconti can send you a replacement

If my experience with Visconti CS is typical (I gather that, in the USA, it is not) holding your breath while awaiting a replacement would be unwise wink.gif
