All:

I have a Gentleman's (kit) pen that has a damaged nib - you know the one, 'Iridium Point Germany'. I've searched the web for replacement nibs for the Gentleman's kit to no avail. Can someone point me in the right direction? And no, Craft Supplies USA does not sell them (at least not shown on their website).

Thank you! thumbup.gif

Thanks - you are right, they are pricy. Those nibs are more than was paid for the pen! I guess if I can't find a straight replacement, I guess I could always just buy a kit and use the nib. $23.78 delivered.

I'm still hopefull I can find someone who has one lying around...

You might want to try this place for a replacement nib.

Thanks All. I found a solution. I appreciate your help.

I get the large sized steel Heritage SF nibs from Lou Metcalf, very reasonable and better quality than the stock nibs that come with pen kits. Large fits Gent, Statesman, El Grande, Churchill, The small ones fit the Jr. series as well as Sedona and Baron. These nibs are German made. Here is a link to a post here from Lou, who has a much higher profile on the IAP website.

Dan:

As it so happens, I ended up buying one of the Heritage large steel nibs as a replacement. I Googled replacement nibs and found an article about how easy it is to disassemble a nib assembly, then found the Heritage site from there. Once I saw I could take apart and reassemble the nib, I purchased one. I'm eagerly awaiting my replacement part seeing as another one of my turned pens broke yesterday as well. crybaby.gif

Good thing I've got my M400 Pelikan to get me through these difficult times! Guess I need more pens!
