Hi all!
I received my first Waterman 12 eyedropper fill fountain pen in the mail today. I'm currently soaking the nib, which I'll need to take out and put back in, as the nib and feed are slightly off-kilter.
Any special instructions for this pen that you can recommend? It seems fairly simple - open pen, fill with ink, close pen, write with fabulously flexy #2 nib. I was reading somewhere that when it gets to be about 1/2 full of ink, it tends to leak a little more, as the warmth from the hand tends to heat the air in the barrel, which I found interesting. They recommended keeping a tissue handy for just such an occurrence. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Todd

Tissue is handy, but better to keep the pen topped up.

A good blob of silicone on the threads can help too.

Thanks David and Lucky. I appreciate the help.
I must admit - I'm a bit apprehensive about filling this baby with ink. I mean, I just cleaned everything, and now I'm going to muck it up again with ink? I know, I know, it is supposed to be filled with ink. Still, there is something very pristine and beautiful about an uninked, newly-cleaned eyedropper pen.
Sigh. What am I going to do - just look at it for the rest of time? Silly rabbit. Ink is for pens.

Ah, don' worry about it - fill 'er up. If you get ink all over your hands, wash them and try again.
My Opinion? Pens are tools. Use them.
