Chaps,

It's been a long time coming (thanks for the nudges, Roger and David) but a new version is now ready. You'll still need Access on your computer to run it at this stage.

For those who don't know anything about this project, I created a Microsoft Access database utility for pen collectors, which allows you to catalogue your collection, including multiple photos, pen measurements and so on. This is a full, form-driven application, not just a flat-file electronic card index.

Folks who tested the first Beta found a few bugs and requested some additional functionality, and Beta 2 addresses all the bugs and introduces some new functionality, like the ability to specify metric or imperial measurement units.

If you want a copy, you're welcome to one. It's free and you'll not get any nags for 'contributions' or anything like that. Download it here:

Be sure to look at the Readme file in the zip archive, particularly if you've been using the first release version and what to keep your data but still upgrade.

I meant to say a big thank you, by the way, to the FPN members who provided useful feedback on the first release. If I haven't acted on a piece of feedback yet, it doesn't mean I'm not going to; this release is mostly bug fixes.

For those who don't have Access on their PCs, I've made a standalone version, which installs from CD and which Roger has agreed to test for me. I'm posting him a CD now, so watch this space.
