Full Version: Is it possible to convert a rollerball Expert II into an fp?

I received a rollerball Expert II (dune green, w/gold trim) as a groomsmen gift ten years ago. I've always loved the rifle-bolt like action of the cap and the solidity of the whole thing. But I completely prefer a fountain pen.

Is it possible to convert simply by screwing in the fountain pen section to the barrel? I roughly compared the size and shape of both pens and they seem identical, thus it seems possible.

And if this is possible, where might I find the nib/front section? (I plan to post a request for such a thing over on the marketplace forum, but wanted to ask here, too.)

Thank you.

Impossible, the cap and the barell are not the same, J.M.L.

Thanks for the wisdom.

That's a shame, it sure looked like it could work.

Anyone want to buy a mildly used, but well taken care of Waterman Expert II rollerball? biggrin.gif

They are not the same inside, not oustide (on the roller barrel there is a screw to stop the roller refill, because of this screw you can't use a converter), J.M.L.

Thanks again. I reckon that's good news for Waterman---I'll be adding an Expert II fp some time soon.

Cheers.
