Hello,
I'm Denise. I have just gotten into writing with Fountain Pens after seeing a friends collection and getting pen/ink envy. I am now the proud owner of 3 fountain pens. I have a Parker, a Retro51 Tornado with a medium nib, and a Waterman Phileas with a medium nib. I have been using ink samples that my friend gave me but I have been leaning more towards the red/purple color spectrum lately. I am sure that I will get to the beautiful blues/greens once a cartridge is empty. I decided to join here to help with my addiction. I know that there are many of you out that and I am sure I will learn from your expertise. Well, thank you for listening/reading. Nice to meet you all. *waves*

Hi, Denise, from farther down the Peninsula!

This is the right place if you want to feed your monkey. You will have many, many enablers DELIGHTED to assist!

Welcome and have fun!

Hello from even further down the Peninsula!

I'm another newbie too....and I have 2 pens already, a Pelikan M800 and a Classic LM1 (Flame Red). It's a sneaky and expensive hobby you've acquired!

Well I'm a bit further away but Hi all the same!
The neatest thing about liking and/or looking forward to discovering a new colour is that you can spend tons of money (no, not only on pens) but on inks too and mix them according to your taste. (I have done a lot of mixing but never really tasted any yet)

Welcome Denise

In case anyone didn't figure it out, Denise is my buddy. We sat out on my rear deck one night when I was prepping samples, and I gave her a vial of just about everything.

She should be able to figure out what inks she likes -- eventually. smile.gif

Hello from the hippy town to the south and over the mountains. Welcome aboard Denise!

Hi Denise, from New Yawk City! Welcome to an expensive pursuit! You must be really patient. I don't wait until cartridges are empty. I just rinse them out and add another color! rolleyes.gif

Well, I'm not completely patient. That is why I now have 3 pens instead of just the one. That way I can keep switching between 3 inks. I am almost out of one of the cartridges and have decided to try one of the lovely Japanese inks. I've also found that by switching between the 3 pens and the 3 inks each day makes it a lot easier to find things in my journal. Right now I am itching to get a 'fine' nibbed fountain pen. I am just not sure which one yet. I am realizing that I like a thicker barrel. We'll see what happens. smile.gif

I do need to thank you again for all of the lovely samples. I really appreciate it. Thank you for helping me get into this "addiction". smile.gif

It will take me a while to figure out just which inks I like. smile.gif

Hello and welcome to FPN.
Titivillus
Hello and welcome to FPN. Kick off your shoes and have a stroll around the grounds. There is lots of good information as well as people willing to share information. Heck you might even pick up a pen or two at the Marketplace.

Once again welcome.
