I was just at Barnes & Noble tonight flipping through the new Pen World when I came upon a Visconti ad. The ad shows four new color schemes for the Opera pen based on the elements. The resins remind me of the Gold Point material. They have opalescent colors with white opalescent bands. The four colors are black = earth, red = fire, blue = water, and yellow = air. The air looks almost identical to the Gold Point. The earth and water have silver furnishings while fire and air have gold furnishings. They all have the standard 14k nibs. I cannot wait until they are available, and I hope someone will post pictures here soon.

I had a chance to view the prototypes in DC. The materials are the same as the Gold Point, with the yellow being the exact same stuff. The pens are Opera Club sized, though, unlike the larger Gold Point. Like the Gold Point, the Elements have solid colored caps with the barrel featuring the white stripe. Cartridge/converter filled. I think the blue and red are particularly striking. If you like the Gold Point, you'll like these!

Urgh. I really want to see pictures, it sounds exciting! I really liked the Gold Point resin, and combining it with the Opera? Sounds like my thing

Great, now I'll want all four. (I knew these were coming, though.)
