Howdy,

One of the pens which walked up my way of late is a miltary clip late 1920's Wahl GS Personal Point (the fat short #4 nibbed critter) in rosewood HR. It will clean up very nicely, though might need a feed swap if cannot clean up the hits there.

Still, i grabbed this one mainly due to the nib. Stub about 1.2-1.3mm (would be double broad or so to my eye regarding vintage nibs) that also has major league flex.

And, i enjoy milking my credit-card-size-ish point and shoot camera to show what can be done with gear that is not "pro".

I left the original patina and schmutz on the nib to add character.

The final image is just a crop, no enlargement, from the native file, showing the close-in capability of the wee Sony point-n-shoot. Hand-held. And, even that shot didn't max out the macro effect the camera could do. The nib could have been shot closer still.

Fun nib. Grand little camera.

nice nib David, great shots too. The last one, the crop shows a little noise, but really from a point and shoot that is more than acceptable quality. What does the rest of the pen look like. smile.gif

Probably some sharpening artifact too. Some P-S cameras offer RAW or Tiff. This one only JPG, which will limit image quality.

cool, REAL shots. I like those that show that kinda character. Isn't it great how far, and quick digital photography has advanced? makes it great, the way you can capture everything. I remember buying my first digital like it was only a few years ago, geez.

always cool stuff Doc I... did you get my PM?

it is amazing what even a point and shoot camera can produce with proper lighting
