Well, i'm home and mostly settled in. Figured i'd shoot some eye candy after the fun couple weeks away which included a quite nice DC pen show.
This one is one of the couple-few from last week's take that goes to my collection for the long haul. I've long been fond of "jade" celluloid, what with the challenge to finding nice, unspinached, specimens. And, while i've photographed some truly grand Schnell Penselpens, and have owned one parts cap, i've long wanted to put a complete Schell into the collection.
Schnell did not last long on the pen scene under his own name, but he had loooong history working with the other players.
At DC from a pen friend and long time collector, i found one to keep. A gem regarding the jade hue, it is a standard sized Schnell. Love the clip. Dates to late 1920s or so. Not sure the shot does this one justice, but i tried.

david
