Ink: Private Reserve Lake Placid Blue
Pen: Delta Sioree with M nib

OK, so my other "lines posts" are now missing their images because my old host and domain registrar is really lame and let my domain go into reclamation after telling me that it was good for 60 more days. I did not want to pay the $100 reclamation fee, so I am dumping it and the host. I will probably re-post all of the images, just for fun. In the meantime, here is a new one. As before, a link to a really big version is included.

Very, very, very cool!

Isn't LPB a great color? Gotta admit, it's my flavor of the month as far as blue inks are concerned. Nice work, James.

Splendid. This color is on my list of inks I want.

Ohhhhh !!!!
This looks wonderful. Great color - great structure

Impressive. Do you draw as a profession/hobby, or while sitting at meetings, or?

I do not work on these things while I am in meetings - too many people ask me what I am doing! It got old really quick.

So, I doodle while I am waiting for data to load (part of my job) and I also sit down and draw for a few minutes at the end of the day.

It would be cool if we could see a time lapse sequence showing the different significant stages you do to get this great product.

Here are two scan that sort of get this done. I will do more if I am around the scanner. The problem is that I do these when I have time, so I am not always with my scanner at appropriate intervals!

These are low-quality. I posted the HQ in another thread, but those links are dead, and I cannot edit them.

link to the final product higher quality

I especially like this amorphous shape...very appealing!
I'd like to see one of these in 2-color...

It's half and half, so probably not what you are expecting:

Hey, this is nice too!
I guess what i'm really thinking is 2-3 different colors within a piece. And to make it not too crazy on the eye, they would be all warm colors, say, or all cool colors.
Hmmm...
just a thought. smile.gif

Since these start as mere doodles, I do not plan the colors or the pattern. However, since people here think they are interesting, I have been thinking of some planning. The problem is, I am horrible at colors.

I am thinking this: Start with orange ink. Draw some, then add a drop of red, draw some more, one more drop of red. Keep going until the ink has drastically changed colors! Cool, right?

Otherwise, you tell me the colors, and I will draw it. Better yet, send me the colors, I will draw it and send the drawing to you.

I do enjoy looking at these!!

Well, just as an example...i'm doing a piece right now using orange, plum, and red. Because they're all warm colors they look good together.
And i do like your idea of starting with one color and adding, slowly, another color until it is greatly changed.
There are so many ideas to experiment with. smile.gif
