This Parker Jade Duofold Jr (streamlined) just arrived. The nib has a wonderful patina and the colour of the jade is fantastic!

Beautiful set! Such a nice even green overall. Do you know the year? 1929? 1930?

I think they streamlined them in 1929, so it could be anywhere after that. I have lots of examples that aren't as green!

You know, the ancient Chinese admired Jade just as much as gold.

I hope you admire and love that pen just as the Chinese would've admired Jade.

It is always a huge pleasure to find a Jade green pen with a minimum of discolouration.

WOW! I thought only Dr. I could find them with that nice of coloring!

Finding this one was quite the surprise to me.... I'm just happy to finally have an a suitable match to the pencil!

Lovely. I have the same set, but my pen looks kind of like green shag carpet from the 70's.

Ah...the infamous brown 'Jade' duofolds. I have my share them, too. Below is a representative sample. Its the ugliest pen I own, but it writes well. From back to front:

• chewed up blind cap (a piece missing)
• warped barrel and heavily discoloured
• excellent 'fine' nib
• chewed up capband with a chip taken out
• obvious 'meltdown zone' on the cap with resultant difficulty with threading

It may be ugly, but it functions well as a pen!
