Hi!

I', new to Japanese pens, but have two I like very much- a faceted VP (1998) and a new DaniTrio Densho Raw (LOVELY pen!). Now I'm wondering what other Japanese pesn have the same nib feel feel as the VP, but aren't VPs. A piston filler would be very nice . . . :-)

And yes, I do know that ANOTHER VP would feel just like it, but I'm curious to see plunder the experience of the group and see what else pops up.

Thanks all!

Piston fillers are hard to get in Japanese pens - the three major companies (Sailor, Platinum, Namiki/Pilot) have mainly c/c systems. You might want to try a Pilot 823, but they are hard to get. Not as expensive as Nakaya or Dani Trio that have pistons. I love my 823, which I got for a bit more than $200. Huge nib, great filling system, smoooooth writing.

Ditto on the Pilot 832. Nice pen - I have 2 wink.gif

BUT I find myself carrying my Sailors more and more these days.
