I've been playing with my camera and I've found the macro setting! It's a Canon SD450 and I suspect either it's not the right camera for the job or I need to learn how to take better pictures.

No, I'm not the one who did the damage but I do need to get it fixed!

This is what my Duofold Centennial nib with Sailor black ink looks like soaking so I can change inks. I never saw Waterman, Pelikan, or Aurora ink do this!

Ack! What happened to that nib? I know I didn't send it that way! wink.gif

No no! This is a different nib. That baby never leaves the desk! Did I tell you how amazing that little pen writes? Here are some photos of the pen in question!

Hmm I think I left out a pic or two.

OK! Proof that baby is fine and well thumbup.gif

Looks like a great score, regardless of the nib tines, Mike! (Glad to hear that the jade Jr. is okay!)

No, you have a good start there.

Are you using a tripod? If not, either a second hand tripod or a bean bag.

The lighting needs to be diffused and controlled. You can build a light box from a cardboard box, they flatten out the lighting.

I would recommend you read web pages dealing with lighting, macro photography, and jewelry photography.
