I love reading all the posts with those showing off their new purchases, so I thought I'd add my own! Last week I got my first Estie, thanks to reading this site! You guys are great.

It's a Esterbrook SJ Double jewel in Dawn Gray, 9556 nib. Looks great, so petite! There are some gorgeous photos of beautifully restored pearl blue and brown Esties on this site, they always make me drool! puddle.gif I'll do more reading to see how I can make my Estie really shine.

As I carefully opened it, I found that the sac is soft and pliable. I read on this site that some tempt fate and use their original sacs, should I take the chance? If not, could someone point me in the right direction to buy a new one?

I do need to thank Brian A. and Richard for their great sites, with their help I was able to ID my pen!!! Once it's looking spiffy I'll post photos.

Oops, I just found this thread:

with some good info on testing the sac.

But where to buy 'em if I need 'em?

I know Pendemonium, Typhon and The Wood Bin have sacs that you can buy and the glue you need for putting on the new sac. Congrats on the Estie!

Thanks, guys! That's exactly what I needed.
