have had a few from the Land of the Rising Sun. This pen was probably one of the most beautiful that I have owned but it was just too light for me.

I know what you mean. That's what I thought when I first got my Pilot Maki-e Cranes pen. It seems so insubstantial for a pen which costs so much but then it writes so beautifully and it looks so nice that I can't bear to be without it...

And the Wakasa Nuri is one of the pens on my wish list.

There will be no more Wakasa-nuri... at least not like that. Wakasa-nuri has always been very popular, and first generation and this second generation looks different. I suspect they will come out with 3rd generation sometimes in the future.

So you're staying then Kevin, that there is at least a chance that there will be another version?

Otherwise, I'll having to buy used (and actually find one).

Yes, but I can't tell you when at this time. I was told by them to expect MANY great things, so stay tunned.
