The vendor "streetfair" has many on ebay. I've made several sucessful purchases from them and have had a good experience from him so far. There is always several old style for sale....btw, no affiliation.

Yes I noticed that he had an OB nib knurled section Newton , with a buy it now price for almost $200. Would like to find one a bit less dear if possible, but so far it would be my choice should I choose to part with this amount of $$ for one.

Oberon - I have a knurled grip Rotring 600 Newton with OB nib and silver finish that I purchased two years ago and only used once or twice. I wanted a B with a knurled grip but at the time could only find this one, and the oblique nib just didn't work for me. It has some light surface scratches but otherwise is just fine. I'd be willing to sell it for $145 (Paypal) including shipping (my original cost for this pen) so let me know if you're interested.

Thanx EstelleS,
Really looking for a black one. Not sure that the OB nib would work for me either, have never used one. If was black with a standard nib it would be a go for me.

Oberon - Sure, no problem. If the standard nib works well for you and you've never tried an OB, you should probably hold out for that. Good luck with the search - at least you know they're out there, it's just a question of finding one for a reasonable price. If anyone else is looking for an OB, I'm still willing to offer mine for sale at the same price ($145 including continental US shipping, payment via Paypal). PM me to let me know if you're interested. Thanks Estelle

i think that's the newish, non-knurled newton 600. he's looking for this one, which went for around $122 on ebay yesterday:

i've posted here previously about the old-style 600, which some of us in the philippines have found, NOS, for as low as $14 (i kid you not! that was another FPN friend who snagged that, black with a gold B nib, no less; i got a few for $31 each--one of which, a black F, i'm trading away for that black B ). the local importer of rotrings, parkrs, and watermans was clearing out inventory. not surprisingly, the supplies didn't last very long (and no, sorry, i have none for sale--am holding on to the three 600s i got, knowing i'll never find them at this price again.) this was a happy fluke, but i'd think that any old-style 600 in the range of $100 would be a bargain. here's a pic of two of those i got:

Never knew there was more than one design. I love that pen design since it came out. Here is a pic of my well worn pen set from the eighties.

Thanx all ,
A short chase. Looks like I have found my "Old style" Newton 66 with the knurled section. Found a real nice one with an OB nib and at a reasonable price. Think that it will be reworked into a broad stub.
All the best,
Oberon
