Some of you may remember my initial postings inquiring about the top of the line Waterman pens from the late 19070's to 1980's. And then other about my months long problem with cleaning the ink out of a Waterman Le Man 100 nib-feed-section assembly. Well, I finally have the sets I've wanted.
After much scurrying around and searching, I was able to acquire a Waterman Le Man 100 Centennial fountain pen, a mint ball point pen, and a mint pencil.
Once bitten by the Waterman bug, I was able to purchase a Waterman Opera and a matching ball point pen.
My problem is that I over-purchased. I ended up with 2 Operas and 2 Le Man 100 fountain pens. Then, all of them ended up writing as if new. Oh, my.
My pen focus has mostly been in Conway Stewart and Pelikan. However, I can assure you that the nibs on the Le Man 100 and Opera are some of the best nibs I've used. Not only do they write smoothly, but these pens can stay capped for several days and just start right up as soon as the nib touches paper. I'm happy -- for now!
Peace,
Phroneo
