Greetings,

Some of you may remember my initial postings inquiring about the top of the line Waterman pens from the late 19070's to 1980's. And then other about my months long problem with cleaning the ink out of a Waterman Le Man 100 nib-feed-section assembly. Well, I finally have the sets I've wanted.

After much scurrying around and searching, I was able to acquire a Waterman Le Man 100 Centennial fountain pen, a mint ball point pen, and a mint pencil. thumbup.gif These are all in black lacquer and in correct boxes.

Once bitten by the Waterman bug, I was able to purchase a Waterman Opera and a matching ball point pen. rolleyes.gif I don't have pictures ready of these sets, but I sure am happy to have been able to get these sets.

My problem is that I over-purchased. I ended up with 2 Operas and 2 Le Man 100 fountain pens. Then, all of them ended up writing as if new. Oh, my. unsure.gif I just wanted to make certain that I got a fountain pen I liked and I like them all!

My pen focus has mostly been in Conway Stewart and Pelikan. However, I can assure you that the nibs on the Le Man 100 and Opera are some of the best nibs I've used. Not only do they write smoothly, but these pens can stay capped for several days and just start right up as soon as the nib touches paper. I'm happy -- for now!

Peace,

Phroneo

Hi Phroneo,

Yup .. the waterman man series are indeed some of the best nibs one comes across these days

I actually over did my waterman man series as well, and have wound up with much more of them than I initially wanted to buy

But even now, I have to trust family or friends to drag me away from the computer screen when I see one of these beauties come up on Ebay

Congrats on a series of great pens !

I second that.

Greetings,

Thanks for your comments. These were a long time coming for me. I am very thankful that I could afford them. They are now my favorite writers.

Peace,
