Looking for a fountain pen within the $100-150 range, orange or brown in color (or red), fine or extra fine nib. Any suggestions? I would love to find a Sailor 1911 FP

Hi, I owned a Danitrio Tosca in the brown swirl. Very nice nib. They should run around $90-110
Almost embarassed to suggest this one: the Hero 187 is a 'burl' pattern orange pen, typically in fine, with a tad of spring in its step.. Substantially less than the amount you note. I have one and have enjoyed it. For nib 'personality' it's great. Got bumped by a Nakaya Cigar with flex fine. ( tad more than your limits on that one).

Im pretty sure you can get a 1911M from Pam Braun in your price range, although idk what colors she has. Send her an email, you may be surprised.

If Pam doesn't have what you want, "japan_antique", a very reliable ebay seller, frequently offers 1911 Sailors in red. Very good prices. A medium nib would be an American fine.
