I don't want to sound like a beggar.
Nor do I want to sound immature.
So I'll try to sound professional.
I'm a teenager who wants to start a collection, but has no money. I get like, $5 a week, and I live in the Philippines, where antique pens aren't sold. The only pens they sell are the pens which are in the market--the basic Sonnets, Vectors, and stuff. So I decided to appeal to the kind folks here at FPN.
Do you have any pens or inks which you don't use and don't want anymore? Perhaps it's a duplicate. Or maybe it's just not your type. And you can bear to let it go? So let me give it a good home.
I have a friend who gave me two pens, a Parker 45 and 85, and I can brag that I take wonderful care of these. When I first got the pens, I cleaned them out, and polished them--with toothpaste. And it worked. The pens, which originally did not work, are in working condition again. Well, at least the 85 is. I had the nib of the 45 replaced and I'm getting it back on Sunday. I keep my pens in a drawer, safely, when not in use. I put the Parkers in a leather pen case which I bring to school, and my 2 Inoxcroms in a plastic pen case made by Inoxcrom. I rotate pens to make sure that they're all used, and I wipe them often to make sure they're free from dust.
So you're ensured that anything you entrust to me will, indeed, have a good home. I don't have much to give, but I can send you a couple of postcards. The Philippines has wonderful postcard designs and I'm sure you'd love to have them in your collection. My penmanship isn't the prettiest thing in the world, but I can write neatly when I want to.
I'd like to thank Readymade for the beautiful Hero 336 he sent me, and to Sailor Kenshin and kiavonne for the pens/inks/notebooks they sent me that I'm now eagerly awaiting in the mail.
PM me for anything at all that you want to say.
Cheers!
Lance
