Many know that on July 3rd i sent my beloved Omas Arco to Kenro for warranty work. The piston had failed after 5 months of use.
So off it went. Then Kenro emailed me that it would have to be sent back to the Motherland.Off it went on July 4th.
I really didn't expect to see it until september as Italy and France shut down everything in august. But lo and behold, here it is.
In better shape than when i bought it.The facets line up better and the piston works great!!
The speed and communication from Kenro were better this time and i have to say that i'm very happy with the results.
Maybe they have been reading our posts??

Good news - I'm glad you got your pen back so quickly. I don't like mine to leave home either.

Good after-sales, perhaps, but I guess I just wonder why the piston would give up after such a short time.......? Did they offer you anything for your inconvenience?

Nothing offered as extras.Just the quick turn around and communication was enough. The piston failure is just a risk we all take with man made products.
I accept it and move on

Jim:
Was your Arco a recent one? One with a metal section? I ask because I have one from c.2001 and have never had any trouble with the piston.
Cheers,
Gerry

Actually mine is the Milord, the newer version. So no metal section thankfully.I specifically
ordered the Miord for that reason. It really detracts from the celluloid.I have never had a piston failure with an Omas pen.Or any other pen.
