I just loaded my Parker 100 with M nib with Parker Permanent Black ink. It seems quite a bit lighter in color than the Quink black washable I had in it before. Is the color supposed to be the same? I know washable is known to fade over time, but the difference is noticeable right away. Thanks.

I haven't used Black, but washable blue was definitely lighter than permanent blue.

I don't know that, I can't compare as I ownly own the washable ink. But there are ink review available from both inks. Look here and here and build your own opinion. To my opinion the washable ink was already on the grey side when fresh on the paper. Over time, it fades to grey-yellow.
