Welcome to the Fountain Pen Nuthouse Simon. It's a good site with knowledgable members who are always willing to help. Over time you will become an addict your hand will start to shake, your handwriting will suffer, nightmares of fountain pens will start to fill your nights

. Instead of having a pint you will start holding onto your money just so that you can get that pen you saw......somewhere but you can not remember where.
Besides that, Happy New Year, where in Manchester? I lived in Levenshulme for quiet a few years.

Welcome!
Great choice of pens! Can you feel the difference in the nibs? Do you prefer one over the other yet?

Welcome to FPN, Simon.
Looks like you're well sorted on the pen front (not that there isn't room for more you understand

). Next thing to try would be some different coloured inks.
Beautiful writing by the way.
Martin
Let me add my welcome. Nice pens, nice writing, nice photos.

Welcome aboard Simon!
Really beautiful chinese!!!! Did you write those characters with the Pelikan M805? My gosh! What kind of nib do you have to write that like? I can only wish that I could write chinese like that. Mines look so plain. Yours look so elegant.

Wow! Talk about starting off with a bang - two great piston fillers. Writing is very impressive. Glad you're here and hope to see you around. Welcome!

Welcome Simon,
What kind of ink are you using, it looks really good against the paper. Also are they just normal nibs or did you have them tweaked at all.
You have certainly started here with a bang!
Happy New Year!
Jim
Typo edit - as usual

Welcome to the forum, I hope you'll enjoy it here. I'm just over the Cheshire border not too far from Manchester Airport.
For some reason the images aren't working for me. Such a shame, I want to see the lovely writing everyone is talking about.

Looks like someone remembers "Hair". Are you sure the name is Andy and not Abby <_<

Simon, I know where Oxford Rd. is. Are you going to Manchester University by any chance?

While I don't quite remember, my family tells me that Abby Hoffman was a cousin of mine. I think he may have been at my Bar Mitzvah (1969) but he wasn't in any of the photo's and I don't remember.
We were always aware of where he was when he was "on the lam" but there wasn't any interaction.
Who knows!

Hi Simon, I live just down the road from you (the A6) near Disley. I checked out your auction for that Cross Apogee in black; you got a nice price for it

Nice couple of pens there; traditional yet desirable - and a Mont Blanc that actually looks good!.
