My mom sort of likes fountain pens. She has a Reform 1745 and a Whal-Eversharp pen. Her pens have leaked a little and she doesn't like it. I've done my best to fix them and they seem fine for now. I want to get her a reliable Pelikan, but I handed her my M200 and she felt it was too thick. Is there a thinner Pelikan pen I can get her?
JulioPB
If she has small hand look for a M150 or a M100, they are nice pens, not expensive, I have one of each, thin, light, wonderful writers,

Hope helps,

Julio
Dillo

M300 is also good.

The M150 looks about the same girth as the M200. Where can I get an M100?

I use an M320 for a change of pace. A beautiful little pen. But it sure is little. Probably the "thinnest" Pelikan though.

M100 won't be much skinnier than the 150/2xx, JD.

Looking for the classic Pel styling plus piston fill? Might have a hard time finding that. If you weren't, I was thinking that there was a model that they made in the early 90s that might work. Can't recall the name, but it's a possibility.

The 300 series is just too expensive for her. She doesnt want to be worried about losing the pen.

Found what I was looking for. New Classic, Celebry, and Signum

Rroossnick mentioned it above- it's the M30. I think there were other variants (M50/90?)
as well.

But the 90's thin Pels were M30. I have not seen one personally, but they should be available if you post in WTB. You can also try Penbid or ebay!

L like the celebry, especially the 580 (lacqure finish) but they are not cheap.

jdboucher if you are interested in a classic I may have one for you.

I have several classics and they saw minimal use because I prefer the size of the 300/400.

Technixx is fairly thin and fairly inexpensive.

If you think she would be worried about losing an M320, buy it for her and don't tell her what it cost! bunny01.gif
lapis
Pelikan 320.
In orange-yellow. Good nib. Have heard that it is also available in jade-green.
Same price as an M300.

I've been searching for the Jade Green for myself. I can't find it anywhere.

this may be time for a call/email to Chartpak because they're site connects to Pelikan's site which *indicates* it should be available.

Back to the original question: I personally do think the 150 is plenty narrow enough but then again, I've never used the other thin models mentioned. it's too narrow for me to use for long writing periods. A 300 would be wayyy tiny (but still gorgeous and something I covet) smile.gif
