Inktiques
I am a new member looking to learn anything and everything about what fellow collectors collect, pens, inks, inkwells and more! I also bring a fair bit of knowledge to share as a dealer in the antique office world.
I am a professional freelance writer (national/international magazine), author, and an antique store owner. My shop, Inktiques, specializes in the old world office - housing 1000's of vintage and collectible books, inkwells, paperweights, pens, stationery, journals, ephemera, typewriters, globes, historic office items and vintage funk all spread atop the antique and vintage office furnishings around the store - and so much more.

Thank you!

Welcome from me too.

Welcome to FPN! I'm just a little bit south of you. I thought of Nanton right away when I read your post, as I've heard it had great antique stores. Unfortunately my experience of Nanton is limited to fueling up and moving on - I'll have to plan to stop in sometime. Enjoy the forums!

Michelle, welcome to FPN. Are you anywhere near Cardston? I have relatives there, also a few friends from Church.

Welcome Michelle.

Hi there and welcome. Pens, inks, inkwells... well you seem to be in exactly the right place here. Don't forget, once you start, you can't quit.
Southern Alberta? I remember Calgary, Medicine Hat. Nanton?

... thanks for the warning Mike - but too little too late! - that is exactly how I ended up with a large retail collection and a large personal one to match ... yes it is an obsessive venture ....
Nanton is 70 km south of the Calgary city limit on the provincial main highway 2 - between Calgary and Lethbridge - and western Canada's largest 'antique and art walk' - lovely historic 100 year old pioneer town full of antiques - see www.AntiquesInNanton.com for info on the stores.

Thanks also to everyone (Ondina, Lapis, RayMan, Wolverine 1, limesally, shadowsforbars) for the warm welcome - visit my websites and feel free to ask questions - as I will be asking also.
