Last night I was practicing my signature with my Waterman Expert II filled with Waterman Blue/Black carts. When I wrote it, the color looked like a nice blue/black. When I came back to it this morning the color was more teal. Its a really nice color. Does this always happen with Waterman Blue/Black?

This phenomenon has been commented on quite often around here. It happens with Waterman Blue Black made after their most recent reformulation was introduced (whenever that was; I have a bottle from the early 1990s, in what looks like the same packaging, which is blue-black when it's wet, and blue-black after it's dried; older Waterman Blue Blacks are a different colour still); it also happens with several other blue-blacks, including Yard-o-led and Parker. They should change the name.

I've had a similar experience with Quink Blue-Black. It dries to a green-black. Not at all what I was expecting.
