Hi Folks:
I had a very nice find at the recent Washington Pen Show. I went to the show hoping I might find the Eversharp pencil invented by Charles R. Keeran in 1913. I figured - no chance. I've been looking for this pencil for some time. Ya never know though. Well, a dealer had one and now it's mine. -big smile- This particular pencil was produced by Heath, of pen overlay prominence, for Keeran at Eversharp, It has the Heath hallmark. My pencil was created during the 1913 - 1915 period. I'd like to quote David Nishimura and his Keeran/Eversharp research paper located on his excellent web site (www.vintagepens.com) : 'The first mass-produced mechanical pencil to combine a simple propelling mechanism with large lead capacity and robust, ergonomically sound design,' I'd also like to thank David for all the information I'm writing in this email. It came from his web site. To read Mr.Nishimura's entire research paper please see the Eversharp Metal Pencils topic located on
his web site.

P.S. I was coerced into doing this email by a friend -smile- You know you who are!
